Not my typical experience as I literally walked here from near the Delray Hospital after work for exercise and destressing. Not sure of dinner plans yet when I entered the plaza, the line out Sal's door piqued my curiosity. When I peered in, I was greeted by a host who asked how many, and I said just me. He offered a small table outside and because it was really nice out, I said sure. The menu seemed standard Italian American. They have it down as there are quite a few in PBC. The pricing for most dishes was reasonable for a full meal and O observed people taking doggy bags home so indicates value. I thought about getting a large cheese pizza for $11, a special but I had no way to cart the left-over, so I opted for a chicken parm sub. It came out in 10 minutes piping hot, lots of cheese and perfectly cooked chicken moist with a thin crunchy exterior. The sub roll was toasted. It wasn't cheap but a good sub at a restaurant nowadays is around 15 but it's much better than Subway, Jimmy Johns etc. I stuffed the last bite in even though I was full. Enjoyed chatting with some folks waiting for indoor seating. Retired people in their 70's they got the life! Came away with a favorable impression. I'd go back.

Daniel took care of me. I came back the following day. The food was absolutely fresh, amazing. The first day I had the veal marsala, which was wonderful. I went back the following day and had veal picatta. He took care of me both times... extremely attentive, the owner was extremely polite. I highly recommend this place! It's a hidden gem

This is always my "go-to" for consistently great food and service. Jimmy deserves a shout out for his great personality.

That's A ITALIAN !!! Very impressive from the food to guys behind the counter cooking and prepping. I kinda stumbled by this ITALIAN restaurant. We were running errands. The last stop was Aldi's a few doors away. I spotted this small ITALIAN restaurant, and opened the door to take a peek. The aroma coming through the door as I opened it, made up my mind quickly, we were giving this place a try. Ordered a Margherita Pizza, and The Boss Steak and Cheese sub, with all the trimmings, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and provolone cheese. We did take out, and it was torture trying to home to eat this....it was still piping hot... The pizza, I haven't had a pizza like this since I was down in south philly on 8th street. YUM - yum, yum.... All the ingredients were super fresh, the roll was just perfect. Wish the sandwich came in larger size. Will definitely be getting THE BOSS again. (definitely needs to be made larger) I look forward to trying their ITALIAN subs, and other Italian specialty dishes. There's veal, seafood, chicken and pasta to choose from. This place was completely full, every table was occupied. That states alot... I'll be back for sure.

Delicious food! We've enjoyed this place since 2015 , and it's still great ! Delightful atmosphere inside too ! The owner and his wife are always there and they're lovely . Great place !

Sal's has a consistently good formula across its dozen or so locations, so wherever you are, you can have a nice Italian meal at a decent price. The location in Delray Beach has plenty of booths and a warm, welcoming feel. When we arrived at 6:00 for dinner, we noticed the place was pretty full. Most of the diners were finishing up their "early bird" dinner, which is quite popular. The server was attentive although she seemed a bit harried and was very busy. She offered us a choice of plain rolls, garlic rolls or both. Yes, please (to both)! Sal's rolls are delightful, with a nice crust and a light flaky dough. Beware though: the garlic rolls are very garlicy. Entrees come with a choice of soup or salad. Though the soup of the day, tomato florentine, sounded good, we opted for Sal's standard: pasta fagioli. It was full of pasta, beans and veggies. It was delicious but it did taste a bit salty. My wife had chicken parmesan, which she declared to be very good. It had a tasty sauce and the portion size was on the larger side. The chicken was quite tender. The only issue was that the entree, especially the pasta, was not very hot. I had the chicken marsala, which I enjoyed. The sauce was excellent and the mushrooms appeared to be fresh. As with the chicken parm, there was plenty of chicken marsala and pasta for a second meal. Bring on the doggie bags. For dessert, we had a chocolate chip cannoli and a panna cotta, which is a custard with strawberry sauce and blueberries. Buono! Is Sal's the best Italian restaurant around? Maybe not, but it is generally good and worth visiting.

I have a few go-to pizza spots in the area, and I'm highlighting Sal's today. This is usually our go-to during a crazy week when we just can't be bothered with cooking. Their pizza is delicious! The crust is just the right thickness. We always order a cheese pizza and a chicken pizza. We also order the bourbon chocolate cake, which is to die for! I'm always ready to skip the pizza and jump into the dessert. Sals also has a fantastic deal on Mondays and Tuesdays. A large cheese pie for $10.59. Only available for pick-up and dine-in. You are also more than welcome to add toppings for an additional charge.

Sadly i don't have any picture of the pizza or restarant. But i must say it's because i cant wait to get a piece of their amazing pizza. Ohgg the cheese, the sauce i love it. Mostly ive ordered for pick up (monday and tuesday they have an offer of cheese pizza for 10$ w cash). The hostess is always so nice. I hope im able to go in for a bite.

I am updating my review from five years ago & I still like this restaurant a lot. The last time I ate in the restaurant was before the pandemic, but I have had numerous meals delivered. We mostly stick with the entrées but the pizza is good too. Not every delivery has gone well, but when something doesn't go as planned, the issue is immediately corrected. Shout out to Justen and Vinny; you guys are awesome. I tend to ask for one of them when I call in my orders because if they take the order, my food is guaranteed to be perfect. I love the Eggplant Rollatini, Penne in Vodka Sauce and the Chicken Francese. These are my go-to dishes. The dinners come with your choice of soup or salad. The Pasta Fagioli is very, very good. You also get a choice of either garlic or plain rolls. The dinners are definitely shareable as it's a lot of food. Saving the best for last, I must mention the Baked Sampler which is wonderful. The Sampler plate includes one ravioli, one stuffed shell, a small piece of lasagna and a yummy homemade meatball. They make great meatballs. Price points are reasonable and they mail coupons every so often too. These days with everything being so expensive the coupons are a nice treat and are greatly appreciated. Sal's is your local Italian restaurant with good food and fair prices that won't break the bank, and they deliver which is always nice. Located on the NE corner of Linton and Military Trail in the Aldi plaza.
